Man United eyeing potential move for Luton Town midfielder - Sir Jim's a fan (reliability: 3 stars)

Man United are looking into the possibility of signing Luton Town midfielder Ross Barkley in the summer window, claims the Sun.

Both Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford are big fans of the Englishman, who has had a resurgence in the Premier League this season.

Barkley has scored three goals and provided as many assists in 20 league games for the Hatters, with his energetic performances winning over the new hierarchy.

The Englishman is likely to leave Luton if they are relegated at the end of the season and can be signed for a cheap fee as a result.

Ineos wants to work within a particular budget in the summer option, with new CEO Omar Berrada aiming to make cut-price signings too.

Barkley has plenty of Premier League experience, having played for Everton and Chelsea in the past as well.

He is actually a good player. He is an upgrade to Eriksen who is passive most times and runs from tackles and contests. He will put his body in tackles and give us goals and assists, something that we are lacking these days, as Bruno hardly scores these days. Needful to note that his assists are still up there among the best though

Here’s another United upper-management and owner that can’t keep his mouth shut 🤐! If someone is interested in anyone learn to keep your fucking mouth shut until you actually sign or have that persons commitment! Untied haven’t learned from their past mistakes about transfers or hunting for players, managers or coaches!! The way United does business is outright a-poling, it’s way too public for competitors which drives the price up and draws too much attention to perspective personal. In other words United “Keep your fucking mouths shut” until the deal or deals are done! Learn from all of your past mistakes.

How are you even sure it's from Man Utd mate. Rumors fly from all corners as usual with some even sponsored by the player's agents. So it does not have to be the board or management saying. I think it's press doing their usual thing
