'Can’t ask Rashford to do what Bernardo does': Bruno on difference between Man United and Man City attack

Bruno Fernandes has argued that playing with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho limits the options of how Man United can attack.

He told A Bola: "It’s not possible for us to play in the same way as Manchester City because Manchester City has supporting wingers, very good in one-on-one too but footballers who really like to play in support and also inside.

"I can’t ask Rashford and Garnacho, pure wingers to play inside in the same way as others who perhaps started their careers as midfielders or as number 10s and fell to the lines.

"I can’t ask Rashford or Garnacho to do what Bernardo [Silva] does when he plays as a winger."

Calling Rashford a 'pure winger' might be a stretch, but you can get Bruno's point: unlike Bernardo Silva or Phil Foden, Man United's wingers can't drop deeper and create midfield overloads as well as Man City can.
