'I know I am a good player': Hojlund tells critics what to expect from him next season

Rasmus Hojlund has described himself as a very good player. The Denmark international has scored 14 goals and provided two assists in 40 games for Man United this season.

Yet Gary Neville recently said that Hojlund will not become a gifted Premier League striker like Sergio Aguero or Erling Haaland.

He said the highest level for the 21-year-old would be scoring 20 goals in a season, adding that it would have been better if Hojlund played as a backup behind a more experienced striker.

But Hojlund said he no longer listens to people’s opinions about him and believes he is a very good player.

“Manchester United is so big, the Premier League is so huge… people are obviously more focused on you than before,” he told ThymPinon for Ballon d’Or.

“It was hard at the beginning. Now, I am much calmer, I no longer worry too much about what is said.

“I know that I am a good player and that if I get chances, I will score a lot of goals.”
