4 players who could benefit from Ten Hag's expected stay at Man United

Man United are expected to retain Erik ten Hag as manager for next season. The Dutchman has reportedly been offered a new two-year deal.

Ten Hag’s work in developing young players including Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo is believed to have played a part in the club's decision to retain him.

Indeed young talents have flourished under the Dutchman. During his first year, Garnacho was the breakout star while Mainoo shone last season.  Omari Forson and Willy Kambwala also made their senior debuts.

That trend is expected to continue. Mainoo and Garnacho will be key figures in this coming campaign. Amad too should get more game time having impressed towards the end of last season.

Many faithful, however, expect Toby Collyer to be the shining star for 2024/25. The young defensive midfielder was included in United's first-team's opening pre-season squad last term.

He made his first-team debut as the Reds lost to Wrexham 3-1. He is, however, yet to make his competitive debut.
