Paris Saint-Germain are set to play Clermont Foot in their first game after the international break.
Since there will be many absentees, be it due to injuries or their involvement with the national teams, Mauricio Pochettino has to carefully pick his starting XI match. Here are some of the possible options.
Option 1
PSG XI: Navas - Hakimi, Kehrer, Marquinhos, Diallo - Gueye, Herrera, Wijnaldum - Rafinha, Mbappe, Draxler.
The biggest problem for Pochettino is going to be picking up the front-line. Leo Messi, Neymar and Angel Di Maria will all miss the game.
One option would be to play Kylian Mbappe as the no. 9 while Rafinha and Draxler are placed on the flanks.
Although the Brazilian has been used mostly in midfield since joining the Parisians, he did sometimes play on the right side while at Barcelona.
Option 2
PSG XI: Donnarumma - Hakimi, Kehrer, Marquinhos, Mendes - Danilo, Herrera, Gueye, Wijnaldum - Icardi, Mbappe.
Pochettino might decide to give their debuts to two new players, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Nuno Mendes.
As for the problem upfront, it could be solved by adding more players to the midfield in a 4-4-2 diamond formation.
Mauro Icardi would then play as Mbappe's partner in attack, although we have to note that the Argentine is only coming back after his injury.
