'Get his selfish *ss out of here': fans react as Mbappe accused of trying to steal away Herrera's goal

Some of the fans noticed a rather obnoxious move from Kylian Mbappe during the match against Clermont Foot.

As Ander Herrera was about to score his first of the match, the Frenchman was spotted trying to stick out his foot and touch a ball that was already going in. Here's what it looked like.

Equivalent-Pumpkin-6 on Reddit has suggested that Mbappe tried to steal away the goal.

"When Herrera was trying to score, he [Mbappe] tried to touch the ball and it almost got removed for offside. It was very clear that Herrera's shot was going in and he tried to touch it. (...)

"Mbappe is good but if he keeps doing this it might hurt us in the Champions League," they write.

Some of the fans noticed Kylian's sneaky attempt too and didn't like it, to put it lightly.

BigDawg2324: "Mbappe is so selfish, like god damn. He needs to chill. Hope this isn’t some kind of 'getting back'."

francembappe: "I wish Mbappe got sold in the transfer window. I would be happy with €220m euros to spend and I'd be happy to get his selfish *ss out of here."

Honigluchenlives: "Are you surprised? His selfishness has cost us before."

Some of the PSG fans spoke in his defence, however.

EvidDavid75: "Mbappe is selfish just as any number 9 should be."

TyquanWorldMessi: "He’s been a b*tch recently and he’s selfish but I don’t think he did anything wrong in that situation he kept the keeper guessing."

psgvaincra: "The most important is to make sure the goal is scored, not to be polite with one another. They will always touch the ball to be extra-sure. Nobody wants to be on a blooper reel where a goal is missed because they didn't touch the ball."

Mbappe did get his goal in the end as PSG beat Clermont 4-0. In total, the 22-year-old has played five matches this term, scoring four goals and providing two assists.

(For the record, had Mbappe touched the ball and scored, it wouldn't have been ruled off for offside because Clermon's last defender was behind the goal line)
