"But first of all I have to defend and then attack. I think that's the most important thing. 

"But yes, I'm an attacking player, a full-back who is always looking to get forward."

The Portuguese teenager's playing style should fit 

 perfectly, since the Parisians are well-known for their dominating and aggressive approach to winning games. Obviously, such philosophy requires attacking contributions not only from the forwards but actually from each and every member of the team.

In his interview with Le Parisien, Paris Saint-Germain's newcomer Nuno Mendes was asked whether his fellow Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo was his idol.

"My idol on the field has to do more with my position. I love Ronaldo and Leo Messi in the same way, but my idol is Jordi Alba," the left-back responded. 

"It's a dream for me as it is for any footballer [to play with both Ronaldo and Messi].  

"I have a lot of images of Messi in my head, and that's the case for a lot of Barcelona players because I've seen a lot of their games. I cannot help but remember the goals scored by Messi. I immediately think of his free-kick against Liverpool."

On his arrival at Camp des Lodges, PSG's new boy Nuno Mendes has opened up on his transfer.

"It's true that it was very quick," the teenager told the club's official website. 

"I was in the national team and I received a call to tell me that there was a possibility of signing with Paris Saint Germain and that filled me with excitement. 

"I didn't imagine that I would have this kind of adventure so quickly, but a professional football player must be ready for anything. I have prepared for everything since I was young to represent a club at the highest level. I spoke with Danilo when I was with the national team and I know he will help me in my integration process."

The Portuguese left-back joined PSG on loan with a €40m option to buy from Sporting CP.
