Paris Saint-Germain's results have been decent this season, no question about that, but the fans want Mauricio Pochettino's men to show that they are a real team, that they can play beautiful football.
In order to achieve that, the first step would be to pick the right line-up. Here are some of the coach's options.
Option 1
PSG XI: Navas - Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Nuno - Gueye, Herrera, Verratti - Messi, Mbappe, Neymar.
This line-up would be exactly the same as in the match against Manchester City. The only change is Keylor Navas starting ahead of Gianluigi Donnarumma, with the coach seemingly looking to rotate between the two.
Option 2
PSG XI: Donnarumma - Hakimi, Kehrer, Marquinhos, Diallo - Gueye, Wijnaldum, Herrera - Di Maria, Mbappe, Neymar.
In case Verratti and Messi are not ready to start the second game in a row — they are fresh off of injuries, after all — their places could be taken by Georginio Wijnaldum and Angel Di Maria respectively.
Other changes included Thilo Kehrer replacing Presnel Kimbembe while Abdou Diallo is given the nod ahead of Nuno Mendes to add more experience to the backline.
Option 3
PSG XI: Navas - Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Nuno - Gueye, Verratti - Di Maria, Messi, Neymar - Mbappe.
Another option would be to switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation so that Pochettino is able to use more attacking players at once. Messi could be used in the no.10 role with Di Maria and Neymar to his sides.
A double pivot of Gueye and Verratti should be enough to cope with Rennes' press.
