Cristiano Ronaldo 'building £7m mansion on Portuguese Riviera to retire with family'

Former Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is already planning his time without football. The 35-year-old is believed to have splashed out an incredible sum of £7m for the building of a mansion on the Portuguese Riviera.

The Sun reports that he and his family will move to the mansion in Quinta da Marinha once the Portugual international quits football.

"The land was fenced off recently and it was purchased by Ronaldo. This is where he’s coming to live with his family when he finishes his career," one future neighbour told Portuguese TV 7 Dias.

"Everyone around here knows it and of course we’re happy. Ronaldo is Ronaldo."

Quinta da Marinha is 10 minutes away from Cascais, Lisbon coastline holiday destination and half an hour away from the Lisbon airport.

The Portuguese is Real Madrid's all-time best goalscorer with 450 strikes in 438 appearances during his nine-year stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
