5 players lined up as Casemiro's substitutes: transfer round-up with probability rating

Eduardo Camavinga

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with the Bernabeu move over the past few months. However, since Rennes have qualified for the Champions League, there might be difficulties in landing him this summer.

According to multiple sources, the player has a 'gentleman's agreement' with the French side: if Rennes are in the Champions League, Camavinga stays for one more season.

Besides, the 17-year-old's price tag is really hefty: it is said that Rennes would only let him go for €75m.

Paul Pogba

We all know Pogba is used as a box-to-box midfielder more often but playing in Casemiro's position is something he's used to as well. The world champion is said to remain one of Zinedine Zidane's biggest obsessions and this summer may be the right time to complete the deal.

However, as outlined recently, Juventus are the frontrunners in the race for the 27-year-old while Man United might be keen on extending his deal for one more year.

N'Golo Kante

The Frenchman's season has been overshadowed by injuries and Chelsea reportedly planned to let Kante go in the summer before it's too late.

Later on, it was said that Kante would rather stay at Stamford Bridge than play football elsewhere. Frank Lampard has assured that the 29-year-old remains to be a very important player for the Blues in the long term.

Andre-Franck Zambo Anguissa

The 24-year-old Fulham midfielder emerges as a rumoured cut-price option for Real Madrid in case neither Camavinga nor Pogba arrive at the Bernabeu.

In one of his latest interviews, the Cameroonian hasn't ruled out moving to Real Madrid but hasn't confirmed the ongoing talks either.

Bearing in mind that Anguissa has played the last season at Villarreal and he can reportedly be brought for about €20m, we believe this is the likeliest option for Real Madrid if they're serious in their intentions.

Probability rating: 7/10

Boubakary Soumare

Just like Zambo Anguissa, Soumare can become Madrid's cheaper alternative to Eduardo Camavinga – Transfermarkt value the Lille midfielder at €24.5m.

However, the latest rumours about Soumare's possible arrivals were seen in January, which means that Madrid may be no longer interested in the 21-year-old.

Probability rating: 4/10
