Raul to stay at Castilla next season despite Frankfurt interest (reliability: 5 stars)

Raul Gonzalez is not going anywhere despite rumours linking him with a managerial vacancy at Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Real Madrid legend will continue as a Castilla head coach, Marca report. Raul wants to stay at the club.

His current contract with the Whites expires in 2022.

The consensus is that Raul is doing a good job at the B team, guiding them to promotion playoffs and overseeing first-team debuts of the likes of Miguel Gutierrez, Victor Chust and Antonio Blanco.

Raul had reportedly been among several options to replace the departed Zinedine Zidane before the job was taken by Carlo Ancelotti.
