Real Madrid squad depth after 2021 summer transfer window, shown in a line-up

Real Madrid parted ways with Varane, Ramos, Odegaard and Odriozola, and signed Alaba and Camavinga.

Bale and Jovic returned from loans and are expected to play a role in the first team this season.

And as there will be no more signings after the transfer window closed, Tribuna take a look at Madrid's squad depth.

As you can see below, the squad lacks balance. We have too many men up front and not enough faces in midfield, while we are two injuries or suspensions away from playing Vallejo at centre-back.

There is no reliable goalscorer to cover for Benzema, while Isco and Marcelo, who are past their peak, remain in the squad.

However, the quality of the players is still good enough to mount a title challenge, especially if our injury record improves compared to the last season.

What do you think?
