'At the highest level, it is not so easy to make friends': Odegaard recounts his difficult days at Real Madrid

"There were difficult moments both in the first team and in Castilla," Martin Odegaard said to TV2 about his time at Real Madrid.

"When you are at the highest level, it is not so easy to make friends. At least not when you are young and you come from another place," Odegaard added.

The Norwegian midfielder signed for Arsenal in August for €35m after various loan spells - to Real Sociedad, Vitesse and recently Arsenal.

He never really hit the mark at Real Madrid, but he's got off to a good start at Arsenal with two goal contributions (a goal and an assist) in his six appearances so far.
