Mbappe explains how failed Real Madrid move changed him

"What happened to me this summer helped shape me. To take the decisive penalty [at Euro 2020] and miss it, and then a failed [Real Madrid] transfer – it tests your mind, your limits. I answered in the best possible way: it strengthened me," Kylian Mbappe has told Telefoot.

Mbappe's missed penalty in the Euros' last 16 against Switzerland eliminated France from the competition. After that, the Frenchman should've joined Real Madrid, but Paris Saint-Germain rejected a €200m+ offer at the very last minute.

It's still quite clear that Mbappe's desire is to play for Real Madrid. We're yet to see if this rumour materialises in 2022.
