Explained: Real Madrid to skip first 2 rounds of Copa del Rey

The draw for the first round of the 2021/22 Copa del Rey will take place this Thursday, November 18. However, Real Madrid will not take part in the draw and will, in fact, skip the first two rounds, COPE report.

It's explained that all La Liga teams except Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao will take part in the draw. That's because the four teams will play in the Spanish Super Cup in January and will miss the first two rounds.
