5 best performers as Real Madrid beat Real Sociedad away

The Serb was an emergency first-half sub as Karim Benzema got injured. Jovic was a bit disappointing at first, but his performance after the break will shut many mouths for weeks to come.

Luka assisted Real Madrid's first goal with a beautiful pass from a tight space. Then he went on to score the team's second of the night with a diving header. He was also much more active upfront than usual, making runs, pressing and moving to the wings if necessary.

An absolute scandal of a performance from the Brazilian, who was a constant threat to Real Sociedad's defence thanks to his speed and dribbling.

Almost every decision Vini took tonight was the right one, almost all of his passes connected, almost all of his shots were on point. He could've gotten a second goal but unfortunately missed a one-on-one late in the game.

Eder Militao — 8.5

A monstrous performance from Militao, who did as much as to save a header from Alexander Isak with his foot. Eder had many more crucial interventions. And to top all that, the centre-back's passes were so on point that he could've ended up with an assist if not for Vini's miss.

Modric bossed the midfield once again and managed to complete full 90 minutes despite the age. Besides his passing, which was as good as usual, the veteran was very useful when pressing and did solid defensive work as well.

Casemiro — 7.5

The defensive midfielder did not complete the match but he was very active throughout the game, in attack too. Besides covering up for the defenders when required, Casemiro also assisted Jovic's goal.

Others: Courtois — 7, Carvajal — 6.5, Alaba — 7.5, Mendy — 7, Kroos — 7.5, Rodrygo — 7, Camavinga — 6.5, Asensio — n/a, Valverde — n/a.
