Less than a month ago, Karim Benzema literally explained how he gets goalkeepers to gift him 'cheap' goals.
Speaking after scoring a hat-trick against PSG at the Santiago Bernabeu last month, Benzema answered the question on whether he fouled Gianluigi Donnarumma in the build up to his first goal
“The first goal? No, nothing. No foul. Just pressing," Benzema told Canal Plus.
It's clear that Benzema's work rate and relentless pressing is what got him the goal - it just scares the crap out of goalies and causes them to panic.
In the Champions League final against Liverpool back in 2018, Benzema scored a similar goal off a goalie howler.
Speaking about it to Diario AS, Benzema said: "My goal from Kiev, it was not a matter of luck.
"I do not believe in luck, it's a matter of work.
"It's an easy goal but you have to be there, in the right place and at the right time, to put it in."
You have to give it to Big Benz as one of the hardest working strikers out there. It's why he got that hat-trick against Chelsea.
