Dani Alves: 'Benzema deserves to win Ballon d'Or'

"Karim Benzema deserves to win the Ballon d'Or," Dani Alves has told Marca.

"He has everything to win it for what he is doing. The Champions League is going to have a lot of influence.

"He is earning it because he is taking Real Madrid to these places. He has been pushing them forward."

Unlike in previous years, the Ballon d'Or will be awarded earlier this year. It will take into consideration the merits of the players during the previous season and not the whole year.

Benzema is indeed having a terrific 2021/22 season. So far, the Madrid captain has recorded 43 goals and 14 assists in 43 matches.
