According to Mario Cortegana, Real Madrid have broken their non-aggression pact with Atletico Madrid, allowing them to sign players from their city rivals.

Upon hearing the news, the Merengues fans were quick to name one Atleti player they'd like to see where white next season - Joao Felix.

XavsFutbol: "If we really plan on breaking this pact with Atlético, it will be time to release Joao Felix from the shackles of Simeone and find some sort of way to implement him into our XI. It’s the right thing to do."

Loconteee: "Real Madrid should just man up and get Joao Felix now that the pact is completely broken.

"I’d knock on Atleti’s door, tell them here’s Jovic (Mariano comes for free) and €80M for Joao Felix. Their abundance of "secondary strikers' might just allow this to happen as they still have Griezzland, Cunha and Angel Correa for the role."

SodaSiz: "Joao Felix at Real Madrid?? He needs to beef up but would be Kaka in 2007 under Don Carlo."

Felix is regarded as one of the most talented youngsters in the world. However, his move to Atletico hasn't been strictly successful. This term, the Portuguese recorded 10 goals and six assists in 35 matches.

According to Cadena SER, though, the non-aggression pact applies only to the youth level.

Perhaps Real Madrid want to sign some talented youngster from their rivals' academy. If the club wants someone from the first team, they will have to negotiate with Atletico.
