Gareth Bale confirms PGA Tour appearance just 2 weeks after retiring from football

Just two weeks after announcing his retirement from football, Gareth Bale has took to Instagram to announce he will take part in a PGA Tour Pro-Am golf tournament in California next month.

*A golf Pro-Am is when both professionals and amateurs play against each other in a tournament.

Bale has long been open about his love of golf. And for that very reason not particularly loved by many fans. The infamous 'Wales. Golf. Madrid - in that order' banner sullied his spectacular run at Bernabeu.

In his eight years at the club, Gareth Bale won 5 Champions League titles, putting his hands - or rather feet to Real Madrid glory.

Now, a new chapter in his life begins.
