Ferland Mendy, if he's back from injury, is the best player for this left back position. In that position, he is simply the best in the world- remember his exploits against Man City last season. The management continues to underrate the young man to our detriment. ln addition, to his immense defensive skill has the devastating ability to  sweep forward. While he was out on injury Madrid has been out of sorts in that position. By the time Alaba is back the pair are like the rock of gibraltar.
