Carlo Ancelotti is unlikely to continue at Real Madrid beyond this summer and the fans are already picking favourite replacements. In particular, some want Xabi Alonso to be brought back to Santiago Bernabeu.

Alonso has miraculously managed to salvage the season at Bayer Leverkusen after taking charge mid-season. Before his arrival, the team was sitting in 16th place after recording 7 losses and just one win in the first 12 matches.
Now, Leverkusen are just 3 points away from a Europa League spot (6th) as Alonso's team has recorded 9 league wins, one draw and just 3 losses since then.
It should be noted that this is Xabi's first season at the top level, having previously coached Real Sociedad's reserves between 2019 and 2022.
