Spanish outlet Marca has broken down what it will cost to bring Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid.
To start with, Real Madrid are hesitant about entering a bidding war for the 19-year-old midfielder as Manchester City and Liverpool are keenly interested and could realistically offer more money for the Englishman.
Instead, Real Madrid are depending on Bellingham choosing to play for them and putting his desire ahead of money.
Transfer fee
Regardless of Bellingham's choice though, Dortmund will not let their star go for cheap. According to Marca, BVB wants between €110 and 115 million fixed as the transfer fee.
Besides that, the German club would include other add-ons and variables amounting to €30-40m. That would take his total transfer cost to €150m more or less. Dortmund used the same strategy when selling Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona in 2017.
Salary
Real Madrid will not destabilize their salary structure to bring Bellingham in. Outside commissions to be paid for the transfer, Los Blancos are likely to pay the player around €10m net.
If Bellingham indeed accepts a salary of €10m it means he will earn lower than Aurelien Tchouameni (€12m) and slightly higher than Eduardo Camavinga (€8m).
Perhaps the club may increase the salary of the youngsters when veterans and high earners like Eden Hazard, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric eventually leave.
