Pirlo says Ancelotti not the best coach from Italy, names Conte and 2 more above him

Former Juventus and AC Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo was almost offended when Gazzetta dello Sport suggested that Carlo Ancelotti is the best coach from Italy. Pirlo doesn't even rate Ancelotti among the top three.

"Due to his human and technical quality, Ancelotti has won more victories than anyone else and in all the championships, but how can you put him ahead of Marcello Lippi, Antonio Conte or Max Allegri? They are different. Good game or not: who wins rules," Pirlo said.

Pirlo also considers Pep Guardiola the best manager in the world today.

"Pep is unique, he always loves to innovate," Pirlo says.

"However, football is becoming more and more physical and you have to keep up to date with everything. Perhaps even for the lesser known."

Ancelotti is easily the most successful coach in Europe. No Italian manager has achieved what he has, winning each of Europe's top five leagues and more Champions League titles than any manager in history. Don Carlo has nothing more to prove.
