At Euro 2020, UEFA allowed national teams to call up 26 players to the tournament due to Covid uncertainties.
However, at Euro 2024, national teams can only invite 23 players for the tournament as the Covid threat is now over.
The reduction of permitted invitees might be bad news for some Real Madrid players who represent the Spanish national team, notably Nacho, Dani Ceballos and Fran Garcia.
