'I stand by him': Madridistas insist on keeping out of form player after HUGE Saudi offer

David Alaba has reportedly received an offer worth €20-25m per season to leave Real Madrid in January, multiple sources say.

It seems like the perfect time to ship off Alaba following some shocking mistakes he's been making recently. The latest was in the game against Union Berlin where his scoffed clearance led to the opening goal by the hosts. Ancelotti subbed him off after halftime for Rudiger and Madrid went on to win.

Still, Madridistas on Reddit are strongly against selling Alaba now. Here's what they say:

"What? He’s had a bad run of form at the start of this season and now everyone wants to ship him to the desert?" Madridista birdinbrain says.

"He’s a very good centerback in a slim market. Who do we replace him with? Antonio Silva is promising but largely untested, and won’t come cheap. Anyone from the premier league or Bundesliga is going to cost a fortune, and no one in La Liga seems world-class rn (except Araujo, but that’s never gonna happen).

"I say keep him around and slowly phase in a promising young centre back like Silva or Saliba (if we can get them)."

may_day06: "Wait until summer [before selling] - we are short-handed as it is"

tothemoonkevsta: "I stand by Alaba as I try to do with all our players who have performed well for this club, worked very hard and won us amazing trophies. Alaba is having a bad stint, and that’s okay it happens. I agree that he isn’t world-class and that he is at times prone to defensive errors but we still need him, especially when he is at his best."

Over to you. Would you sell Alaba??
