Bayern Munich's classy gesture for David Alaba

In a remarkable display of solidarity, Bayern Munich have expressed their heartfelt support to David Alaba.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, the Bundesliga giants' honorary president Uli Hoeness revealed: "We have ensured that David will be operated on in Innsbruck by a doctor in whom we have immense trust."

The gesture follows the defender's recent ACL injury, a setback that has prematurely concluded his season.

The Austrian who spent an impressive 13 years in Bavaria, including two in the academy, and secured numerous titles with the club, is no stranger to Bayern, so they made sure he received top-tier medical care.

Alaba has already undergone a successful operation today in Innsbruck. Both Bayern and, naturally, Madrid, facilitated the centre-back's surgery in Austria, entrusting the procedure to renowned knee surgeon Christian Fink, described as "one of the best knee surgeons in the world."

Now, he embarks on his path to recovery.
