Nacho is set to miss just one game through suspension, reports Mundo Deportivo's Ramon Fuentes.
The captain won't play against Mallorca on January 3. He will be available for subsequent clashes in all competitions.
Nacho picked up a straight red card for his challenge against Samu Omorodion during the Alaves clash. This was his second direct red of the season.
Carlo Ancelotti is expected to play the centre-back pairing of Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger against Mallorca. The German aside, there are no natural centre-backs available.
