Romano names player Real Madrid will 'start talks over new deal' with

Fabrizio Romano reports on Twitter: "After Modric and Lucas Vazquez, waiting on Nacho situation to be clarified, Real Madrid will also start talks over new deal for Dani Carvajal.

"The club is extremely happy with his performances and commitment, new contract will be a topic to discuss in the next months."

The 32-year-old is ageing like a fine wine and remains one of the best right-backs in the world. He scored Madrid's opening goal in the Champions League final victory against Dortmund, claiming the MOTM award.

Overall the Spain international has made 416 appearances for Real Madrid. He joined the club aged ten and has spent his whole career at the Bernabeu with the exception of one season with Leverkusen.

It has been previously reported that Madrid will break their rule of giving players over the age of 30 only one-year deals and will offer Carvajal a two-year extension.
