Ancelotti: 'I won't change Vinicius' position for Mbappe'
Carlo Ancelotti addressed Real Madrid's current concerns ahead of their La Liga clash with Osasuna, clarifying his approach to Vinicius and Kylian Mbappe's positioning. He stressed that Madrid's main issue lies in defence, not attack.
Ancelotti explained his decision, saying, "I didn’t want to move Vinicius from where he makes a difference. Mbappe can play as a striker, but that’s not the issue. Ours is not an offensive problem, but a defensive one."
The coach added, "Yes, Vinicius can play well both on the wing and in the centre, but I’m not planning to change his position. Our challenge is in defence, not in attack."
As for Mbappe, Ancelotti commented, "Kylian adapts well as a forward, allowing us flexibility, but we need to improve our defence to stabilise our game."
