According to Mundo Deportivo, the attention stems from an investigation opened last summer involving five Real Madrid academy players. The players are accused of distributing a video containing inappropriate content.
Asencio, who was reportedly not involved in recording the video, is still under suspicion for sharing it.
Real Madrid have refrained from making any public statements about the case. In the meantime, three of the players implicated have left the club.
