Vinicius Junior has privately asked La Liga President Javier Tebas to retract his accusations regarding piracy. Tebas had claimed that Vinicius streamed the Liverpool vs Real Madrid game illegally while in Spain. Vinicius had posted a photo on social media of the match on his TV, supporting his team.

Tebas made the accusation during an anti-piracy conference in Buenos Aires, saying, "If it is in Madrid, and I think it was in Madrid, it is piracy. Access to the content to watch the Champions League in Spain must be done through Movistar Television.” He added that Vinicius must have used a VPN or satellite dish to watch the game illegally.

However, a source told ESPN that Vinicius was actually using an international plan with a Brazilian operator, which allowed him to watch the match without geo-restrictions.

The player's camp has provided evidence to La Liga, asking Tebas to retract his claims.
