It was only at the second attempt that the speedy winger made a successful move abroad. At the age of 19, he moved from his youth club Lausanne-Sport to Nice, but was unable to progress beyond the role of substitute in the south of France. He returned to Switzerland and made a name for himself at Basel, with whom he marched all the way to the semi-finals of the Conference League. Last summer, Bologna brought him in for €9m. In Italy he has shuttled between the starting XI and the substitutes' bench but played his part in Bologna's sensational season as they reached the Champions League. In the national team, Dan Ndoye was the big winner of the two friendlies in March. The man from Lausanne is benefiting from the switch to a three-man defence and is likely to be deployed as the wing-back on the left flank.
