Malick Fofana

Malick Martin Fofana, born on March 31, 2005, is a Belgian professional footballer renowned for his skills as a winger. He began his football journey at Eendracht Aalst before joining Gent's youth academy at the age of nine. Fofana signed his first professional contract with Gent in January 2022. He made his professional debut for Gent in July 2022, impressing with his speed and technical ability. In January 2024, Fofana secured a transfer to Ligue 1 side Lyon for a fee of €17 million plus add-ons.

He signed a contract with Lyon until June 2028, becoming the third Belgian player in the club's history. Fofana represents Belgium at the youth international level, notably featuring in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in 2022.
