"But even if the Russian and Serbian languages aren't that similar, Babic is that kind of player - he understands everything on the pitch before others do." Babic, like many other players in the squad, was part of the team that became world Under-20 champions in New Zealand in 2015. However, it took him years to find stability after that. Following a spell in Spain with Almería, he moved to Russia in a transfer which sparked accusations against his former club for violating sanctions against Russia. Babic has gained recognition and confidence in Russia – now he's vying for a place in the Serbia starting XI this summer.
