Written by Martin Vait (Denik Sport) for the Guardian’s Experts’ Network:

Tomas Chory has a special asset many coaches dream about. When their preferred No 9 is not available, Chory is always ready to step in and perform in the biggest games. His greatest moment and quite a symbolic one for his career came after the Belmondo nightclub scandal when he dragged the team almost single-handedly over the line against Moldova into Euro 2024. Chory has improved massively in his general play and is surprisingly mobile. Will be a handful for the opposition centre-backs when he comes on in the latter stages. And that's also why he's destined to be despised by a big section of rival fans and unloved by many of his competitors. They do have a point in that Chory uses his gangly stature in many unexpected ways. His two weird headbutts on Asger Sorensen against Sparta last season caused furore and some of his actions look reckless. However, Chory's defenders point out that there's actually no recollection of him injuring anyone badly. And even more surprisingly, he has never been sent off.
