- Ryan Giggs is going to forbid Bale playing golf during Euro 2020.
- The manager wants his team to be focused on football only.
- Welsh FA's chief executive made sure there are no golf courses near their training camps.
Daily Mail report that Wales head coach Ryan Giggs wants Gareth Bale to give up golf for the time of Euro 2020. Giggs wants the player to be fully focused on the competition and is ready to make such a radical move.
Wales need golf to be out of their players' minds so much that Welsh FA's chief executive Jonathan Ford even made sure there are no golf courses nearby while researching training camps for Euro 2020 preparations.
"Ryan is clear that while in camp our focus should be on the football. Golf won't be on my checklist when I look at base camps," Ford said.
"You can't be in a situation where you have players risking their fitness by playing golf. I appreciate that some players look at it differently. You can't train all day so there has to be some entertainment for the guys."
Wales are set to face Switzerland on June 13 and Turkey on June 17.
