- The Costa-Rican has been at Madrid for 5 years, between 2014 and 2019.
- Navas won 3 Champions League titles with Los Blancos.
- However, he does not regret the decision to leave the Spanish capital for PSG.
Keylor Navas left Real Madrid for PSG 2 years ago, when Los Blancos purchased Thibaut Courtois. And the experienced Costa-Rican sounded surprisingly relieved to have quit Zidane's side.
"There are times when you have to make decisions," Navas told France Football.
"I have great appreciation for Real Madrid and all the team-mates who have treated me well. And of course head coach Zinedine Zidane, with whom we have won everything.
"We have a common history that will not leave our memory. But there are things that we do not control. I trusted in God, who guided me towards an exit from Real Madrid."
Navas has been Madrid's number 1 for 3 seasons, between 2015 and 2018 - a stretch during which Los Blancos won the Champions League 3 times in a row.
Navas also won La Liga in 2017. We are not sure why he appears to sound bitter when talking about his exit - it's not the first time he does either.

Navas was a huge figure in our club and was a big part of the 3 UCL wins! You will never be forgotten and you are always loved by all the Real Madrid fans! KN1 'The cat' what a legend ❤
He loves Real Madrid...... And Of course he didn't want to leave but his Age forced him away. We love him and as he said we share some memories together.
navas is one of the most under rated keepers in the world. I must say we fans treated thibaut quite different. navas made saves, some even better than thibaut during his spell in Madrid but none came into the spot light cuz only Ronaldo does.. but now thibaut enjoy some praises mainly because Madrid is now more of a team, everyone is on the spotlight if they play better
