19 years ago Real Madrid have made a very questionable swap...
Real Madrid and Arsenal have completed a transfer which turned out to be a lose-lose deal:

Anelka left Arsenal after two seasons during which he scored 23 goals in 65 league matches and he couldn't improve his numbers at Real Madrid as he only managed seven goals in 31 matches in all competitions.
Suker had quite a similar journey as he spent three seasons at the Bernabeu scoring 49 goals in 106 games. His record as a Gunner is way less impressive: 39 matches and 11 goals.
Both Nikolas and Davor exited their new clubs after just one season with the former going to PSG and the latter joining West Ham.
