Fede Valverde on his debut: 'This is all down to my parents'
- The 20-year-old midfielder debuted for Los Blancos against Manchester United in ICC (1-2)
- He is delighted to fulfill his dream
Fede Valverde, who spent last season on loan at Deportivo, told Madrid's official website: "Making my debut was brilliant, I fulfilled a dream of many children around the world who want to be here and I try to enjoy it.
"I have overcome many challenges, and I am proud of that, I have fulfilled a dream. This is all down to my parents. They were the ones who fought so hard so that I could have some football boots to train when I was little and I thank them all.
"Preseason? It is very demanding and training is interesting. As a footballer, you have to love it. These matches help us build pace and strength for the coming season. My experience of last season in Primera helped me learn a lot, not only in football, and I've taken some real positives."
