Marca: Modric 'safe' at Real Madrid for the next 2-3 years
- Florentino Perez allegedly wants to keep Modric at the club and he's sure he can do that
- All the offers for the Croatian playmaker are reportedly to be rejected
As a follow-up to the latest news about Luka Modric, who reportedly "wishes" to force a move away from Real Madrid, and to the latest statements of Florentino Perez, Marca reports that the club's president is so much concerned about Luka's decision to stay that he's "safe" at Madrid for at least several seasons.
Florentino allegedly sees no sign of decline in the Croatian, so all the bids for the experienced playmaker would be withdrawn, as reported by the source.
Moreover, it's expected that Mateo Kovacic will be forced to stay in order to support Luka.

Earlier on, it was mentioned that Real Madrid are thinking about increasing Modric's salary, which would put him on par with Sergio Ramos and just below Gareth Bale to ensure he doesn't leave next summer, in 2020 when he is 34.
The only price for which the Croatian is going to be sent off is about €750m, as per Perez, so the president is really determined to make Luka stay put.
The player is allegedly heading to his first training sessions with the first team this summer and is supposed to get ready for the UEFA Super Cup fixture against Atletico.
