Alvaro Morata admits to massive emotional struggles after Real Madrid exit
- Morata struggled a lot following his transfer from Real Madrid last summer
- He admits he still wants to stay at Chelsea to prove his credentials
Morata told the Mirror: ''I didn't want to talk to anyone, I didn't want to hear anyone. I only wanted to stay at home. Maybe it wasn't a depression but something like that. In football, you are always scrutinised and the last season I had a lot of that because of the expectations I'd arrived with.''

He also admits that he's had offers to change the club this summer: ''I could've returned to Italy. My wife is Italian. I've also had offers from Spain. A lot of money has been offered but I've decided to stay at Chelsea and fight for my place. I want to rewrite the past and show what I really am.''
