ABC: Real Madrid don't plan any more signings this summer
- The club is done with buying players at the transfer market at least until the winter window
- Another summer goes by without Galactico signing, the last being James Rodriguez
According to the Spanish news media outlet ABC, Real Madrid have finished their business in the transfer window at least when it comes to the incoming transfers.
Los Blancos will not make any more signings.
As a result of the pre-season, Julen Lopetegui plans to promote several youngsters to the first team. Federico Valverde will be Kovacic’s replacement for now. Sergio Reguilon has also earned a spot in the squad, especially since Theo Hernandez departed. Javi Sanchez are Borja Mayoral are also being counted on.
As Diario AS points out, this means that Real Madrid will go another year without making Galactico signing. The last big move was in 2014 for James Rodriguez. The last potential Galactico the club has been linked with is Chelsea's Eden Hazard.
The Belgian is seen as a 'great' player at the Bernabeu offices, but the Royals have no plans 'of buying for buying's sake' with the potential transfer expected to cost 200m euros. Instead, Florentino Perez will stick with Julen Lopetegui's clear project, in which he wants to use Isco as the 'key player'.
Right decision from Los Blancos to rely on the squad at their disposal?
