AS: Spanish teams captains to send an ultimatum to La Liga
- La Liga participants do not want long matchdays and late starting times
- They also vote against the practice of holding league games in the US
According to Diario AS, the captains of the Spanish first division teams will meet tomorrow at the headquarters of the Spanish Football Association to analyze the situation and issue a statement containing the opinion of the players' union. There are two main topics on the agenda of the meeting: the league schedule and matches in the United States.
It is expected that the players will express their disagreement with the league's decision to have long matchdays from Friday to Monday and late kick-offs (for example, 10:15 pm CET).
The players are also disappointed with the agreement to play several La Liga games in the US. The arguments against this extravaganza are going be included in the statement.
