Could Lunin's performances for Leganes mean a 'game over' for Keylor Navas?
- While Real Madrid were giving Melilla a sound beating, the 19-year-old loanee worked miracles between the posts for Leganes
- If the Ukranian continues to play in the same vein, he'll soon become Real Madrid's No. 2
While Los Blancos were giving Melilla a sound beating, the 19-year-old had literally single-handedly taken his current club to the next round of Copa del Rey.
The Ukranian, who was loaned out to Leganes to develop responded by stopping everything thrown at him, including a penalty, thus booking a place for his team in the next round of competition.
His current form and stellar performances suggest that the player, if everything goes well, will be the second choice goalkeeper at Los Blancos next season, potentially putting Navas' time at Madrid to an end.
It is, however, assumed that there will be a friendly parting for a keeper who helped The Whites to three consecutive Champions League titles.
Will Lunin make a good second-choice keeper?
