Young cantera Fidalgo opens up on his debut for Real Madrid
Marco Asensio and Isco struck twice each as Real Madrid gave marching orders to Melilla, easing their way into the last 16 of the Copa del Rey with a 6-1 routing of the Segunda side.
The game, however, was made even more important for several Castilla players who were given their senior debut.
Javier Sánchez and Vinícius Júnior both started and scored, whilst Fran García and Álvaro Fidalgo made their Real Madrid debuts during the 6-1 Copa Del Rey win over Melilla, at the Santiago Bernabéu. Fidalgo, Real Madrid's 21-year-old central midfielder was among those who were handed their senior debut by Santi Solari:
“It was a dream come true. I've been at this club for 6 seasons now & making my debut at the Bernabéu was incredible. When you're on the bench & then you go hit the pitch, you see all the people in the stadium & its incredible. I have worked so hard to get here.”
