Toni Kroos is the king of long pass in LaLiga
- Real Madrid's own Mr Accuracy brings a special feature to Los Blancos' game.
- Out of all his passes during the game, 11% are accurate long balls.
- Overall, more than nine his long passes during the game find the target. No other player in La Liga plays more than seven accurate long balls per game.
- Thus the Royals have a serious advantage when delivering the ball to their attackers.
It's not a secret that the German maestro is heavily involved in orchestrating Real Madrid attacks with his passing accuracy always over 90%.
But there is a special feature to Toni Kroos' game, not everyone completely aware of. Yes, the midfielder's long pass is also not unheard of, but you'd be surprised to find out exactly how good he is at this.
Twitter account Carlon Teel Carpenter has presented a graphic visualizing which midfielders in La Liga play the highest % of their passes over long-range (25+ yards), which clearly shows that Toni is in the league of his own when it comes to accurate long balls.
Out of approximately 87 accurate passes, Kroos plays per 90 minutes, more than 9 (!) are going long. Just to compare, the only two players who come close to the 29-year-old in terms of the number of passes - Rakitic and Arthur - play 6 and 3 long balls per game respectively.
The player who comes the closest to Kroos is Sevilla's Banega with 7 accurate long passes per 90 minutes.
Kroos' ability to play long gives the Royals a serious advantage when it comes delivering the ball to their attackers bypassing the line of opposition's pressing.
