Zidane insists Marcelo still has gas in the tank to shine for Madrid
- Zinedine Zidane is not willing to continue Solari's tradition of benching Marcelo.
- During his first press conference since returning the Frenchman voiced his support for the Brazilian.
- He also mentioned Isco and Bale being ready to play against Celta de Vigo, just as Marcelo is.
"Marcelo is a pro and has trained well. You must respect the previous coach's work because it is not an easy job but Marcelo looks good although he hasn't played much recently. Happy to see him like this again," said Zidane during his first presser as the new manager at Madrid.
Zizou won't follow Solari's example and wants to use all of the players which suffered from the previous coach's decisions:
"I see them (Isco, Marcelo & Bale) ready to play tomorrow. Our aim until the end of the season is simple. Win as many games & as many points in these remaining 11 fixtures. You won't know who the GK for tomorrow is today."
The main thing for Zidane is finishing this season in the best way possible:
"The truth is I don't think about the next season now, nor do the players. We're only concerned about ending the season well. Then we'll see. Everyone has a contract. It's been a tough year on all of them but this squad has done some good things too."
Are you excited for Marcelo and Isco receiving this kind of treatment by Zidane?
