MARCA: Sergio Ramos set to return against Real Betis
- The captain is rumoured to be on the pitch as we'll be saying goodbye to this dreadful season.
- Ramos hasn't played since April 3 when we lost an away match against Valencia.
- Although the match against Betis doesn't carry much significance it would be pleasant to finish the 2018/2019 with a victory at the Bernabeu.
Even though everyone considers our season to be over for quite some time now, Real Madrid still have the final match at home to play. The game against Real Betis could actually have more weight to it than it would seem at first glance.
One important thing is the potential return of our captain to the football pitch. Sergio Ramos wasn't seen in a Los Blancos shirt since our unfortunate away defeat against Valencia on April 3. Since when the Spaniard picked up an injury in training and hasn't played in our recent matches. He is rumoured to come back to meet Betis after starting to work with the ball last Saturday.

Also, the same match could potentially be the one where Karim Benzema breaks his goalscoring record. The Frenchman currently has 30 goals and needs 3 more to overcome his own achievement for goals in a single season.
While more than a billion dollar worth Barcelona team failed to score a single goal at Anfield, Benzema scored a brace few years ago. Still Madrid fans are crying about why we are not buying players. Shame on you guys!! pic.twitter.com/34nreCB5Q3— Saddam (@BossLikeBoby) May 15, 2019
Finally, we could see Gareth Bale play his final Real Madrid match on Sunday. The Welshman reportedly accepted his fate after Zidane made it clear there wouldn't be a place for the winger in 2019/2020 Real Madrid. Gareth wants to say his farewells on May 19, according to various sources.
I really can’t see Bale leaving Real Madrid for anyone but the Champions of Europe.... pic.twitter.com/QY4G3qLumY— Ergo (@SniersMoregut) May 14, 2019
How much did you miss Ramos?
