AS: Luka Jovic to sign with Real Madrid next week
According to the highly reputable Spanish news outlet, AS, a deal with the Eintracht Frankfurt striker is already in place but Eintracht want their star striker to be fully focused ahead of reason-defining match against Bayern Munich this Saturday.
Once the domestic season ends for Frankfurt, who are currently only one point away from the CL spot, Madrid will immediately sign a deal with the 21-year-old striker, who'll then be unveiled soon as La Liga season draws to a close.
According to AS, the sensational striker will spend six years at the Santiago Bernabeu with 60 million euros paid for him.
His arrival is expected to provide genuine competition for Karim Benzema and a deadly force coming off the bench, since Mariano's return from Lyon didn't work out quite as expected with only 4 goals to his name this term, two of those coming against Villareal.
The Serbian is 10 years younger than Benzema and is a perfect long term replacement for the French forward given that the two share pretty much similar attributes.
Aside from that, Madrid and Frankfurt have traditionally enjoyed good relations with the likes of Jesús Vallejo, Omar Mascarell and Lucas Torró all having a stint at the Commerzbank-Arena.
According to a previous report from La Sexta and radio Marca reporter Jose Luis Sanchez, who is considered a reliable source on all things Real Madrid, Jovic was convinced that he will be playing for Los Blancos next season.
